3. 1000 Wins with only 10 plays - Coach Jerry Sloan Utah Jazz Offense.
Great 20 minute video on his offense. The NBA's illegal defense rules with no help defense, only double teams really stood out to me. Still a really good watch to see many actions still used by teams at all levels.

4.  Pick and Roll Passing

Breakdown of passing options out of the pick and roll (rolls, pops, replaces, drive & kicks, etc. featuring NBA best point guards)

Our season ended Friday night, and now we are preparing for our awards banquet and off season.  Here are a couple of articles I enjoyed last week.

THIBODEAU: “EVERYTHING MATTERS” - Zak Boisvert
March 6, 2017

Linked below is a fantastic 2-part Q&A with Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau. With how many good coaching nuggets Thibs dispenses, the transcript is practically a coaches clinic in its own right. Great stuff on Thibs’ “daily improvement” mantra, working with young players, communicating with your players, how players can develop their leadership skills and where the T-Wolves need to improve defensively. Definitely one of the better articles I’ve linked to lately. The Q&A is broken into two parts with my notes from the two sections appearing in the embedded PDF.

FEBRUARY COACHING NOTEBOOK - Zak Boisvert

March 7, 2017
Embedded below are my notes I took from articles I read and conversations I had with various coaches over the the month of February. Included in here are Peyton Manning’s thoughts on what makes Nick Saban so good, Mark Few on the growth of his Gonzaga team, Jeff Van Gundy on what you should and shouldn’t coach, and Kevin Durant’s admiration for Manu Ginobili.

It’s All About The Cake

Pregame pick-up basketball games helping Miami Heat reserves bond, improve their games
http://heatzone.blog.palmbeachpost.com/2017/02/28/pregame-pick-up-basketball-games-helping-miami-heat-reserves-bond-improve-their-games/
. Before most home games — when it’s not on the second night of a back-to-back set — a group of Miami’s bench players take part in a few 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 pick-up games. They play two or three games up to seven with made shots either counting for one or two points, and they play using a full court...“It’s three dribbles, two dribbles sometimes,” Johnson said. “That’s all the dribbles you’re allowed. That also helps you in games to get off the ball. You make a move and it don’t work, get off it. You don’t want to keep pounding the rock.”

"I think the key for us is that we don't hold the ball. We almost always have five playmakers on the floor. The ball moves, and nobody dominates it...They adhere to what Kerr described as the Warriors mentality: a willingness to pass and create for others.
