1st Podcast - Small Area Screening

12/15/2016

My partner in this website, Joe Bedingfield and I  tried to a podcast Sunday morning.  He posted our 8 minute conversation on his blog. http://www.coachbedingfield.com

From the Blog:
My coaching friend, Nate Hill, and I decided to try a podcast on Sunday for only 8 minutes to see what would come out of our mouths. We had a conversation about his game the night before and some ideas for his upcoming week in practice. I suggested Confined Area Passing or Men in the Box as I call it. You get 4 guys to a team and have an offense and defense inside the Volleyball box. The offensive team must complete 6 passes without turning the ball over or stepping outside of the box. The defensive team must pressure the ball and try to force a turn over. The team who fails to accomplish their goal loses and go out to do pushups while another team comes in to replace them. Each time you get to six passes in the confined area you get a point. This drill teaches the importance of jumping to meet a pass, screening off the ball, screening a body and playing low to high while constantly moving. Take a listen to our 1st attempt.
