Good afternoon,
I haven’t sent out a newsletter since September so I decided to put some stuff together.  I have 7 articles I enjoyed recently, our pre-practice routine we are using this year, notes from a Robert Morris University practice, a HUDL worksheet, and our quote of the week. We end our first week of practice tomorrow and we will start scrimmaging shortly.  As usual feel free to share or send names to be added to our list.

Thanks
Nate

Clinic season is in full swing, and our state clinic is this weekend here in Ohio.  I went and found a clinic that we hosted in 2012. Attached are 4 videos from the clinic, and Coach Balogh’s powerpoint presentation.  Also attached is the 2018 Florida Coaches clinic (50 pages), and a clinic from Germany in 2016 from San Antonio Spurs coach Greg Popovich.   Feel free to contact me with any questions.

End of an Era - Greg Woodard  This week Coach Greg Woodard from John Glenn High School (New Concord, OH), stepped down.  He won a state championship and has been a head coach for over 23 years.  I have got to know him through Eastern Ohio Basketball Camps in the summer and it was a joy to coach against him.  The video below is 17 minutes and a great watch.

A coach's plea to parents - A good article that was sent to me:

My First Year: Wisconsin guard Brad Davison - A good read for players and coaches.

Jimmy Cones Video:  This is also the start of offseason workouts for many coaches.  Here is a video that Coach Bedingfield put together that is outstanding.

NBA Scouting report Article:  linked is an article by  former NBA coaches and scouts.  It is a scouting report for the Bucks / Sixers game.  It is really long, but interesting.  They have like 6 different pick and roll overages for example.

Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy
